CTLS and CTLSi light sport aircraft (LSA) manufacturer AeroJones Aviation Technology Company has announced that it is finalizing plans for a new manufacturing facility adjacent to Dalu General Airport in Zhenjiang, China. The company, which currently operates out of a facility in Xiamen, says the new factory will provide direct airport access, more efficient manufacturing processes and better airplane accessibility for inspectors and prospective buyers. AeroJones is planning to break ground at the new site next month.

“We have been working closely with CAAC [Civil Aviation Administration of China] as we prepare to build the new factory,” said AeroJones General Aviation Development Vice President Hsieh Chi-Tai. “AeroJones has secured all credentials needed to produce and deliver CTLS aircraft in China.”

The new factory is scheduled to begin operations by the end of 2019. The company expects to employ 200-250 people at the site and reach annual production numbers of 240 CT-series aircraft. AeroJones says its primary markets include China and Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Japan, Korea and Thailand. AeroJones Aviation Technology also operates an engineering facility in Wildau, Germany.
