A man blamed for causing the May 7 crash of a Chinese jetliner by starting a fire on the plane bought seven insurance policies before boarding the flight. The official Xinhua News Agency reported Saturday that the passenger, Zhang Pilin, started a fire on board, but gave no details. Under law, Zhang's family wouldn't be eligible to collect if he was found to have caused the crash deliberately.
