Embraer Celebrates New Models

0

Expect more detail from Embraer on its newly-announced mid-light jet (MLJ) and midsize jet (MSJ) models at the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) in May. Embraer was displaying scale model of the 10-12-passenger MSJ at Sun ‘n Fun 2008. The company held a news conference at Sun ‘n Fun to announce the formal approval by the Embraer board to proceed with development of the new aircraft.

The MLJ and MSJ bring to six the number of business jets in the Brazilian planemaker’s stable. The Phenom 100 and 300 very light and light jets are under development and the original Embraer bizjet, the Legacy 600 continues to be popular at the high end of the market. The E190-based Lineage is selling well in the ultra-large market. The new aircraft fill a large and potentially profitable gap in the Embraer product lineup.
