Hilton Goldstein, CEO and Chief Architect of Hilton Software, was named the winner of a Gold Stevie Award for Executive of the Year in the Aerospace & Defense category in the 15th Annual American Business Awards earlier this week. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Tuesday, June 20.

Hilton Software is best known to general aviation pilots as the maker of WingX Pro, an electronic flight bag competitor to ForeFlight Mobile and Garmin Pilot, but the company also derives significant revenue from defense contracting work. In March 2017, Hilton Software won a $17M contract to develop multi-platform software solutions and provide data services to the United States Department of Defense as well as civilian agencies such as the Federal Aviation Administration and Government Foreign Partners.
