Just Aircraftof Walhalla, S.C., announced that has shipped out its 500th kit, a SuperSTOL. Kits have gone to all 50 states and over 20 foreign countries. Though the company is still shipping out kits for the Highlander, the majority of sales in the past year have been of the two-place SuperSTOL model. Since the SuperSTOL was introduced last year, Just said that its kit sales have more than doubled and the company has added a second shift to keep up with demand. The SuperSTOL cruises at 95 MPH and can land at 32 MPH due to a high-lift wing equipped with slats and large Fowler flaps. The wings fold for ground transport. The airplane can be equipped with conventional or 29-inch tundra tires, floats or skis.

SuperSTOLs can be built in the experimental amateur-built category. They are available with Rotax or Jabaru powerplants. With an empty weight of 720 pounds, the SuperSTOL has a useful load capability of 600 pounds. Just Aircraft was founded in 2002 by Troy Woodland and builds kits for three different two-place, high-wing, fabric-covered airplanes.
