Ohio Lt. Gov. Bruce Johnson had people talking last week but he might not have enjoyed what they had to say. Flight Explorer released it Professional Version 6.2. The latest release adds “alerting capability that allows customers to receive proactive alerts based on Meteorological Aerodrome Reports (METARs), Runway Visual Range (RVR) data, FAA airport delays and real-time diversions,” according to a news release…

The FAA has issued an airworthiness directive (AD) for certain models of Cessna 172, 182 and 206 aircraft to check the torque on the end fittings of flexible fuel lines and adjust as necessary. The AD was issued after loose connections were found in a 172.
