We are partnered with Mayo Aviation to find their next QA Manager! Mayo Aviation is a Colorado based national aircraft management, maintenance, and charter service provider. The QA Manager develops and executes direct quality assurance procedures that represent company strategic goals in delivering a high standard of safety and service for our clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Has overall responsibility for the Part 145 repair station quality and inspection department
  • Manages the Part 145 Repair Station/Quality Control Manual to ensure compliance of 14 CFR 145.211
  • Performs aircraft conformity inspections and logbook reviews
  • Oversee communication with Part 135 Maintenance Controller
  • Collaborate with direct report(s) to develop and implement processes, practices and policies that ensure effective and consistent operations
  • Performs maintenance tracking reviews
  • Assists, supervises, and mentors direct personnel assigned to the Quality Assurance department
  • Resolves all 145 issues related to safety, quality, and regulation
  • Oversight of inspectors during work performed under CFR 145 Repair Station
  • Ensures that all inspections & repairs are completed & documented in accordance with the Quality Control manual, company procedures & CFRs prior to releasing the product for return to service
  • Oversees or instructs personnel in Quality Assurance & Inspection techniques & methods
  • Oversees revising of the 145 Quality Control/Repair Station manual
  • Provides oversight of Mayo Aviation’s Training Program
  • Update’s compliance tracking software as required for Part 145 customers
  • Provide guidance for proper logbook entries for the work performed by the Repair Station
  • Oversees Receiving Inspections per the Quality Control Manual
  • Approves Repair Station quotes, final work orders and invoices.
  • Performs surveillance audits in coordination with FAA personnel
  • Performs log research for customer aircraft inspections
  • Cooperates in conduct with the Safety Management System and is instrumental with corrective action plans and preventative measures
  • Communicate with appropriate regulatory authorities regarding issues related to safety and quality
