Diamond Aircraft Plans To Double Production   Marc Cook     Diamond Aircraft intends to double production in 2019, and is looking for staff to achieve that goal. Honeywell Developing Connected Black Boxes   Kate O'Connor     Honeywell and Curtiss-Wright are collaborating to develop a cockpit voice recorder (CVR) and flight data recorder (FDR) that will give operators real-time streaming and server storage options for flight data and voice communications.   Read more ForeFlight Offers Airport 3D View   Kate O'Connor     ForeFlight has introduced a new interactive airport familiarization tool for its Mobile Integrated Flight App. According to ForeFlight, Airport 3D View simulates airport environments around the world by using the company’s mapping and synthetic vision platform to combine high-resolution terrain with aerial imagery.   Read more

Bombardier Introduces CRJ550   Kate O'Connor     Bombardier has officially launched its new 50-seat CRJ550 passenger jet. United Airlines is the launch customer for the new model, with 50 aircraft on order.
