It is a joy to fly and a jewel on the ramp. Shot with an iPhone 7 Plus, lightly processed in Photos and Snapseed. Copyrighted photo by Peter H. Schmidt. Like thousands of other people, we flew to the path of totality to see the total eclipse last month. We were among hundreds of airplanes at Triple Tree Aerodrome in South Carolina, and practically all of them fired up and lined up for departure right after the total eclipse. We waited a few hours and flew home as a flight of two. This shot was taken from our lead aircraft just as the sun was setting (technically the second eclipse of the day) and just before we broke off formation. Minor edits to the image include slight rotation, curves, and saturation. Otherwise, it's all the fine handiwork of photographer Mohammed Alashi.
