I shot this at Oshkosh '19 from the front row with my new Tamron 150-600 lens on a Sony a77 in RAW. Auto haze removal, slight sharpening, and I removed (with some difficulty) a FedEx truck parked in the background. Shot at 1/125 sec, ISO 100 at f/14. PSE '18 used. Photo by Gary T. Austen.
PICTURE OF THE WEEK: Thundering Horsepower
My wife, Nancy Poll, took this photo on her iPhone 6S as we were returning to Centerville Municipal Airport (KGHM), TN. We were flying in our Aerotrek A240 LSA just before sunset and about 20 miles north of KGHM. This is the original photo with no changes or manipulations. Submitted by MacGregor Poll.
Returning to Centerville
I went up with my friend Tim Cottam and took some pictures of his Zenith Zodiac near our home base of Taos, New Mexico. No manipulations to the image. Shot with a Canon Rebel XTi and a 75-300mm lens. Photo by Spencer Hamons.
Zenith Zodiac
It had been a long day of flying with several stops around Atlanta and Myrtle Beach. The weather had been full on IMC with trace icing here and there the entire way home from Myrtle Beach. After nearly 45 minutes without sign of ground nor sky, for a very brief moment, the sun decided to peek its head between 2 solid layers of rainy overcast. Shot using an iPhone with no filter. Photo by Alexander Lewis Adduci.
