Tecnam, which is based in Italy and has a U.S. headquarters and service center in Sebring, Florida, says the airplane's low operating costs appeal to fight-school operators. The airplane first flew in 2012 and won EASA certification last year. Deliveries have already begun in Europe, with more than 40 of the airplanes flying. The company so far has sold seven of the airplanes to U.S. customers, according to AOPA. The P2010 sells for $345,000.
