Robin Eissler, of the charity relief group PALS Sky Hope, was named Texas Aviator of the Year at the 36th Annual Texas Department of Transportation Aviation Conference. She was recognized for the coordination of the PALS Sky Hope humanitarian relief efforts in Texas last year during Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. She is the first woman to ever receive the honor.

Eissler conducted the relief work through the Patient Airlift Services (PALS) Sky Hope Disaster Relief Program, which she founded and currently serves as program director for. Hundreds of affected disaster victims have received relief over the past few years through PALS efforts.

Eissler works for jetAVIVA, an aircraft sales company, in the role of chief operating officer. “We are honored to have a selfless and devoted individual like Robin on our team,” a jetAVIVA spokesperson said. See a video about her work here.
