As a bonus, here's a video by Russ Still from The Last Time, the largest gathering of DC-3s in recent memory held in Rock Falls, IL last July.

Most of us can remember clearly what happened to us 32 years ago, and we've seen a lot in that time, there's no doubt. Consider that it was 32 years to the day between the Wright brothers' first flight at Kitty Hawk and the first flight of the DC-3 in Santa Monica. Both occured on December 17, and DC-3 owner Dan Gryder spoke with AVweb's Russ Niles about the impact of arguably the most important airplane in history on its 75th birthday.

Thanks to Daniel Valovich for this great shot of a Pitts. We're getting great pictures but some of the descriptions leave a lot to be desired. Set the scene for our readers. Tell us the type of plane, name of the pilot, if you know, where the photo was taken and what was going on at the time. You'll have a much better chance of getting your photo published.
