How to Keep a B-29 Under Wraps
The Museum of Flight in Seattle has returned its B-29 to flightworthy status, yet it lacks a hangar in which to keep it. As a result, they have completely wrapped the plane (less the outer wing panels) in white plastic, giving it a surreal appearance. It's almost as if the artist Christo is doing one of his pieces. The setting of the glaring white plane against the rain-laden skies was interesting.

Cover Your Ears!
SR-71A (S/N 17980) taking off from RAF Mildenhall (U.K.) on June 2, 1983. I took this photo from Hurdle Drove (road) west of the base using an old 35mm camera. This made the loudest noise I had ever heard in my life!
Cropped and cleaned-up in a photo editing program.

Inbound for Kelowna
Taken with an iPhone en route to Kelowna, British Columbia in a Q400.

"Because I Fly, I Envy No Man on Earth" - Brian Shul
I don't know if you can use that caption or not; it is probably copyrighted by Mr. Shul, but I thought this picture speaks to that line perfectly.
This picture is not manipulated in any way; I used a cheap digital camera and shot it from my Challenger II airplane. The date stamp is incorrect, for what it's worth; this is definitely not January in Manitoba!

Douglas C-47A Skytrain (N33VW) taking off from Rwy 18 at Wittman Regional Airport (OSH) during AirVenture 2011.

Curtis P-40 Warhawk
Photo taken at the YAF Thunder Over Michigan.

"It's an Antique - Um - Well, It's an Antique ..."
This manure spreader was spotted IFR over LeRoy, KS. Rumor is it was a politician in his offical campaign vehicle.

Shiny!
This is a picture of my 1947 Luscombe 8A, taken at Schellville airport in Sonoma County, California, where I am based. Just thought it may be of interest to some readers. Thanks.
