Taken at KBJC (Rocky Mountain Metro Airport) in August 2011. Canon 50D, Canon 100-400 L lens.
End of the Day
While sharing dinner and good company, this image presented itself for us at the close of the day.
Old Crow in Scotts Warbird Alley
P-51D Old Crow (S/N 44-74774) painted in the colors of Colonel Clarence E. "Bud" Anderson of the 357th Fighter Group, who had 15 kills in WWII. (Nikon D90. Cropped and file size reduced.)
"Fly It Like You Stole It!"
Photo of Rob Holland's back seat view at the 2011 Chicago Air & Water Show. A pretty good mantra for an aerobatic champion.
Following Irene to the Bahamas
Larry Morris helps unload tarps and water (a.k.a. "liquid gold") from his Bonanza at MYEM, (Governor's Harbour Airport) in Eleuthera a few days after Hurricane Irene passed through. This was one of over 40 relief missions flown by volunteer pilots for Bahamas Methodist Habitat - the kind of assistance that only GA can provide. We flew from JQF (in Concord, North Carolina) to FXE, over to MYEM, and back to JQF in the same day.
Picture taken with Nikon D90, 18-200 at 18mm; no manipulation.
Morning Dawns on Monocoupes at Antique Air Field

Shot from another P-51 in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Canon 1D Mark IV. No digital editing.

Valle de Joux
At 8,000 feet over the Valle de Joux in the Jura Mountains. This is one of the numerous "playgrounds" for Montricher gliders and an important center for Swiss watch manufacturing.
Image taken with a Pentax Optio P80 camera at 1/250 sec. F 7.0, focal length 5 mm. Resized only.
Starduster Too Landing
Using a long lens on my Sony A77 as the Starduster Too was landing; caught all the heat vapors, making an interesting photo. Just resized and cropped.
A New Day
Taken on a very cold Thanksgiving day morning in Okmulgee, Oklahome. Fairchild F-24. No changes were made.
