C-124 Feathered Prop
A scan of my dad's slides during his service. He says 124s always lost an engine in flight, and here is one photo for proof. :-)
Sleeping 777
A 777 reflection on the windows of stand A62 in KEWR AP. A looooong exposure before departing back home, using a WOE50D camera.
At Ease

Bonanza Morning
Quick photo of my good friend's C-35 after we flew a "Poker Run" in Enid, Oklahoma.

NetJets' N613QS departing Las Cruces, New Mexico after the X Prize Cup with Anousheh Ansari aboard. Taken in October 2006.
Smoke Signals
A flight in my Kitfox from Manzanillo to Chapala Lake in central western Mexico. I was flying trough a low pass of the Sierra Madre, and suddenly I noticed that the Volcano of Fire, the most active in the country, had just smoked right beside me. This photograph captured that awesome moment!
Crosswind at Sullivan
A crosswind landing on runway 36 at Sullivan (SIV). I was there to pick up my buddy, S.O.B. (Sweet Old Bill). This is a still from a video I shot on an FPV camera.
Smoke Loops
Picture from AirVenture Oshkosh 2009. Taken with a Nikon D60. Edited in Photoshop CS5.
Final at 03L
Runway 03L grass at Montricher Air Field, as seen from a glider on final on a sunny spring day. Image taken with a Pentax K20D camera at 1/125 sec, F 13.0, focal length 18 mm. The original file was cropped in order to highlight the runway and its jammed "taxiway."
T-6 Texan II
An instructor pilot (IP) from the 71st Flying Training Wing at Vance Air Force Base (Oklahoma) shows her airplane to a Civil Air Patrol (CAP) pilot during the Volk Field Air National Guard Base Open House and Fly-In at Camp Douglas, Wisconsin in August 2010.
Popping Up from Chimneys - Bis
This is a sequel to Gilbert Benzonana's "In Geneva, 'They' Pop Up from the Chimney" photo in the "POTW" of May 5. My son took it from the balloon I was piloting at just about the same moment as Gilbert's. We had just taken off from one of Geneva's parks. It's something special taking off in the center of a city just a few miles from a very active international airport. Maybe it won't make it to the selection, but thought you might like a different view of the same moment.
Editor's Note: No offense, Chris - but if you thought this photo wouldn't make it to the final batch, you don't know us very well! ;)
Under Control
Cell phone photo of the RDU control tower from the GA section of the ramp. No manipulations - just a plain ol' cell phone photo.
Mystery Beech 1900
I took this photo on the ramp at KENV on April 27, 2011. The photo was resized to meet your requirements only. This aircraft has a fake N-number! It is registered as a Fairchild M-62A. I wonder who it belongs to ... ?
AVweb Reader Todd Rader Replies: This is a military aricraft, and military aircraft do no have N-Numbers. The number you see on the tail is a serial number, not an N-Number. It's just a regular Beech 1900 operated by the military by the looks of it. There's no "secret squirrel spy game" going on with it.
Them's Some Big Blades!
Slight image cropping. Nikon D50 with 18-200mm Tamron lens. This was taken at the 2006 Duluth Air Show.
Parked in the Desert
Shot at Ibex, a dry lake bed in the west desert of Utah. Canon 5DM2, two-shot panoramic.
