CATC Selects Britannica Knowledge Systems' Fox to Optimize its Total Training Operation
March 10, 2014, Prague, Czech Republic -- Czech Aviation Training Centre (CATC) has chosen Britannica Knowledge System and its training management system, Fox, to oversee the administration of its customer training operations. Fox will replace several cumbersome, disconnected systems with a single, fully integrated and easy-to-use platform, which will optimize training operations while controlling costs and increasing throughput. Britannica is set to complete a smooth migration to Fox in June 2014 via a cloud-based/SaaS (Software as a Service) hosting solution.
"Managing our disjointed legacy systems and processes takes extra time and paper, so we wanted a comprehensive system to free people from these extra tasks," said Jan Janik, CEO of CATC. "We needed a fully integrated solution to efficiently manage our training operations."
CATC will take advantage of Britannica's comprehensive cloud-based hosting services, enabling worldwide access to all of Fox's applications with minimal IT infrastructure and resources. This modular and scalable SaaS deployment will remove costs associated with hardware, software and maintenance, resulting in an economical and efficient hosting model.
"We chose Fox because we need a comprehensive solution. Most other systems focus on airlines, but Fox handles training center priorities like training plan creation, daily training center operations, customer reporting, and audits," said Vladimir Ostrovsky, CATC Director of Operations.
Fox will enable CATC's complete and integrated management of training resources, schedules and e-learning, as well as staff qualifications. CATC will take advantage of all of Fox's modules, dashboards, reports and notifications while reducing manual efforts and paperwork.
"We are proud to provide CATC with our state-of-the-art system," said Miki Ringelhim, VP of Business Development at Britannica Knowledge Systems. "Fox will enable a vast improvement in their training management efficiency and effectiveness in a relatively short time. I know instructors, customers and trainees will be pleased with their personalized dashboards with advanced scheduling, qualification, recordkeeping and analytic features."
With its easy user interface tailored to the needs of staff and their customers, Fox will enable better communication while providing each individual with secure access to their own information. It will optimize scheduling of CATC's simulators and other training equipment, along with instructors, students and classrooms. Its recordkeeping features will now provide CATC with a structured history of each customer's past training, plus full training details necessary for audits. Fox will give CATC's customers easy online access to this training history as well as their own schedules, alerts, and other information.
