Aero Touring Club de France Orders Sun Flyer

Denver, Colorado - July 28, 2015 - The Aero Touring Club de France (ATCF) has signed a Deposit Agreement with Aero Electric Aircraft Corp. (AEAC) for an early delivery position on a 2-seat "Sun Flyer" solar-electric training system being developed by AEAC.
Jean Billioque, ATCF President since 2014 who has spent his entire career with both French and U.S. aerospace companies, said his group is interested in modern technology. "The Sun Flyer looks attractive in terms of cost of ownership and lower noise," he said. "This point is quite critical with the urban environment of the Toussus le Noble airport. The airport users are under the constant pressure of surrounding communities to lower nuisances from flights, especially noise. From this stand point, the Sun Flyer offers a promising solution to this problem."
ATCF settled in Toussus le Noble in 1948 and celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2008. Today, the club has over 200 members and its flight school fleet includes a Cirrus SR22 and an SR20, plus a DA40 Garmin 1000, a PA28 and three Aquila.
George Bye, CEO of AEAC, thanked and welcomed ATCF to the program. "It is an honor to welcome ATCF as our first international customer," he said. "The legacy and heritage this club brings to our Sun Flyer customer group is something we hold in high regard. Our goal is to help ATCF resolve the noise challenges they, and other training schools at general aviation airports worldwide, deal with every day."
AEAC is planning to offer the first certified U.S.-sponsored, practical, all-electric airplane serving the aviation flight training markets. The company unveiled the single-seat technology demonstrator for its next-generation solar-electric training aircraft at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2014 and continues to perform initial R&D flight test operations with the single-seat technology demonstrator prototype while the 2-seat prototype Sun Flyer is being assembled. AEAC is also collaborating with Redbird Flight Simulations to offer a comprehensive pilot training system.
