The Coast Guard has been a customer of Airbus for 30 years and has used the Airbus Helicopter's Dolphin to support its rescue, security and life-saving mission operations since 1985. The Coast Guard also operates 18 HC-144A Ocean Sentry maritime patrol aircraft. The Ocean Sentry is based on the Airbus CN235 tactical airlifter and is effective and efficient in a broad range of demanding maritime patrol missions, including search and rescue, homeland security and disaster response.

The Coast Guard's most ubiquitous aircraft, the MH-65 is tailored for a full range of missions and is capable of performing in the most severe all-weather conditions and night-time operations. Airbus Helicopters, Inc. supplies more than 50 U.S. law enforcement agencies from coast-to-coast. To date, more than 1,800 Airbus Helicopters rotary-wing aircraft are flown by more than 440 U.S. operators - including corporate and business customers, hospitals and emergency medical services, tourism operators, law enforcement agencies, the U.S. Army and Navy, the Coast Guard, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
