BAC-CO-Patrol Sends Audio CO Warning To Headsets

Our new product warns you about CO in the cockpit during your trip. The warning signal reaches you directly on both ears with a sound which generates your situation awareness even already under the influence of CO.

What is the BAC-CO-Patrol?

Our new product warns you about CO in the cockpit during your trip. The warning signal reaches you directly on both ears with a sound which generates your situation awareness even already under the influence of CO.

How does the BC-CO-Patrol work?

It is no secret - we have designed in a gas-sensor combined with a microcontroller. Both are calibrated to each other. If a certain level of CO is present in the cockpit, the CO-Alerter turns on an acoustic signal into your headset! This signal is variable set at the factory and drives the pilot to the specific problem to look at the circumstances he is in and can take abprobiate action as required in case of carbon monoxide influence to stop its continuation.

Who can use the BAC-CO-Patrol?

It is well known that older planes with the heating device welded to the exaust stack collector can create cracks by vibrations and corrosion. Caused by these vibration cracks the CO-contaminated air reaches your cockit during the heater lever switched ON - and the level of CO rises in your cockpit! If you don't take any action to stop this gas getting into your cockpit - it means your silent death. Also if you create your homebuild plane - a certain danger still exist even if the plane is new! If the homebuild design is critical in the engine compartment - the CO-Alerter is a must to have! Also - if you operate your piston-powered plane during winter time or in colder areas where even during summer time the use of the internal aircraft heating equipment is necessary - the BAC-CO-Patrol helps youto stay clean of CO-danger!

Please note:

Tests have shown that the human optical perception under influence of hypoxia (which is similar to COinfluence!) first eliminates the red-perception in our brain - so any optical CO-Warning-systems which transmit s a RED signal to our eyes are nearly senseless - also cockpit installed CO-Alerters which sound at 85 dB are lost in the engine sound and are not detected as danger! Only the BAC-CO-Patrol which feeds direct into your headset is the alternative! Your life should be worth that small investment!

the BAC-CO-Patrol is EASA-approved for installation as minor change - this doc. can be used for N-tail installation due to the bi-lateral agreement between FAA/EASA!
