This year’s Duxford General Aviation Safety Day has been hailed a great success by the Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on General Aviation, Grant Shapps MP.
This year's Duxford General Aviation Safety Day has been hailed a great success by the Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on General Aviation, Grant Shapps MP. Mr Shapps, who spoke at one of the sessions during the day, said "it is great to see this event, organised for the benefit of the General Aviation (GA) community, continue to come on leaps and bounds"
"There are very few events which bring GA together to network and talk about best safety practise. I am grateful to all of the fantastic exhibitors who turned up and made the event a success"
The GA Safety Day event was hosted at the Imperial War Museum Duxford and was supported by the APPG-GA. Attendees included important GA companies and public bodies including the Civil Aviation Authority and UK Border Force.
The APPG-GA had its own stand and invited members of the public to discuss its work. Grant Shapps said "the APPG is only as good as the information we get from the community. We always encourage anyone involved across the spectrum of GA flyting to engage with us on the issues that matter to them."
Mr Shapps added "The Duxford event can only get bigger and better. I've already saved the date for next year where I'm sure I'll see and hear even more fantastic GA success stories. Make sure you get it in your diary early!"
Duxford's next GA Safety Day is due to take place on Saturday the 25th April 2020.
