Envoy Air Inc. has finalized an agreement with ATP Flight School that paves the way for its participation in ATP's Tuition Reimbursement Program. This program allows ATP graduate flight instructors to receive up to $11,000 of their ATP training costs paid for by Envoy, in exchange for agreeing to fly for Envoy after earning the requisite number of hours.

"I know that becoming a commercial airline pilot takes a big investment up front," said Captain Ric Wilson, Vice President Flight Operations for Envoy. "The ATP Tuition Reimbursement program allows Envoy to ease the financial burden faced by aspiring pilots, while simultaneously giving Envoy immediate access to some of the nation's top aviation talent."

ATP graduate flight instructors starting their career at Envoy gain a direct path to a long-term pilot career, as Envoy offers an industry-leading flow through to American Airlines, the largest mainline carrier in the world.

"ATP has proven that Tuition Reimbursement builds a predictable supply of pilots, which is a competitive advantage for progressive airlines like Envoy. With Envoy's entry into the program, pilots gain access to a premier career path with flow through to American and highly sought-after pilot crew bases," said ATP Vice President Justin Dennis.

Envoy is now hiring more than 30 pilots per month, with new hire pilots projected to upgrade to Captain in 2.5 years and flow through to American in just over five years. Envoy pilots who flow through to the mainline make up half of every American new hire class - nearly 70% of new hires since 2013 came from Envoy.

ATP's 266 aircraft fly 150,000 hours annually to provide more than 4,500 FAA pilot certificates each year.
