JETTECH’s Citation Series STC Adds ADS-B Upgrades
JETTECH will soon offer installation data packages for the aircraft affected through their approved Garmin authorized dealers along with a complete documentation package to support the installation process.
JETTECH, a leader in developing affordable aftermarket aircraft solutions, is adding the recently released Garmin GTX 3000ES ADS-B capable transponder to its existing STC covering Garmin GTN install on Citation and Citation Jet (CJ) aircraft equipped with TCAS II.
The JETTECH Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) amendment affects both the FAA and EASA authorizations and will ensure that Citation TCAS II equipped aircraft will have the means to comply with the ADS-B mandate of January 1, 2020. By amending the STC, the JETTECH retrofit solution now covers all CJ models including CJ1/CJ1+/CJ2/CJ2+ and CJ3 as well as all 500 series Citation aircraft including the Bravo, Ultra, Encore and Excel.
JETTECH will soon offer installation data packages for the aircraft affected through their approved Garmin authorized dealers along with a complete documentation package to support the installation process. According to Rob Irwin, founder and member/manager of JETTECH, the Garmin GTX 3000ES is an economical solution for adding ADS-B to TCAS II equipped Cessna series aircraft. Besides meeting the upcoming ADS-B mandate, Irwin said one of the most important features obtained through amending the STC is compatibility with JETTECH's existing STC that features the Garmin flight decks for these aircraft.
"Additional major equipment upgrades are available with this installation," Irwin explained. "These include G600 EFIS Fight Decks, GTNs satellite weather and music, autopilot coupled LPV WAAS, voice activated intercom and ADS-B in." In addition to amending its STC to install TCAS II on most CJs and Citations, JETTECH announced autopilot coupled LPV WAAS for the Cessna Citation Bravo, Ultra, Encore and Excel aircraft equipped with the Primus 1000 Integrated Avionics System as well as CJs equipped with ProLine 21 installations. Also, JETTECH owns the STC install for the Garmin G600 and GTN 650/750 touchscreen series GPS for the Citation 500 series that includes WAAS approvals.
