Swanton, Ohio - National Flight Services, Helicopter Division, a leading provider of helicopter maintenance and avionics installations; announced today that they have been awarded contracts for 27 helicopter radar altimeter installations from three separate tourism operators in the southern US. This installation is an FAA mandate for all Part 135 operators that must be complied with by April of 2017.

National Flight Services has highly experienced airframe and avionics engineers that have over 40 years of helicopter avionics experience, and over 75 years of helicopter specific maintenance experience. National Flight has been awarded this contract due to it's extensive knowledge of helicopter systems and strong engineering efforts in gearing up for this particular mandate demand. Their mobile avionics crews will be travelling early in the new year to complete all 27 installations off site to accommodate a reduced downtime for their clients.

National Flight Services has been involved in aircraft maintenance since March 1960. It is widely known for services such as airframe maintenance on turbo prop and jet aircrafts as well as a Honeywell Authorized engine overhaul service provider for the TPE331 engine. National Flight Services completes a wide range of helicopter services at their Toledo, OH and New Braunfels, TX facilities. "We are extremely excited to be awarded these contracts, and thrilled to be able to offer quality, fair priced installations at the aircraft's home base prior to the mandate deadline. Our client's needs are paramount to us, and reducing their downtime was something that was very important. We encourage any operators to contact us as we have limited slots still available for our mobile units to complete this installation throughout the US." added Larry Lowry, VP President of Operations. The company is also working on expanding its helicopter PPI services to include mobile units early in 2017.
