New Flight School in Hartford, Connecticut!

Learn 2 Fly CT, winner of the 2019 AOPA Distinguished Flight School and Distinguished Flight Instructor awards, has expanded their reach for offering professional Flight Training and Aircraft Rental in the state of Connecticut. Learn 2 Fly CT will now be offering services to the public at the Windham Airport (KIJD) and the Hartford-Brainard Airport (KHFD) for flight training and meticulously maintained aircraft available for rent to certificated pilots in the New England region.

Learn 2 Fly CT is a new, modern pilot-friendly Part 61 flight school that brings a welcoming atmosphere to both airports the company operates at. The company expects to achieve Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 141 certification in 2020, expanding their range of clients they are able to offer flight training to including veterans and college programs. The company is approved for the Air Force ROTC (AFROTC) “You Can Fly” program, which provides cadets the opportunity to apply for a federal scholarship which is used for flight training at no cost to the cadet.

Phillip Smith, the owner of Learn 2 Fly CT, is passionate about General Aviation and is striving to bring the Flight Training industry into the 21st century by bringing new technology to Connecticut. Phil teaches Drone training courses at different Community Colleges around the state and is looking to implement an Aviation STEM Curriculum into the high schools around the state in the near future.
