Middle East pilot training organization P7 Aviation has announced the addition of a Boeing 747 Full Flight Simulator to its simulator training center in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The wide-body aircraft simulator will expand P7 Aviation’s training offering from the current Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 Classic training capability and seeks to support Boeing 747 operators throughout the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
Khushbeg Jattana, Chief Executive Officer of P7 Aviation commented “The global pandemic has resulted in a number of passenger airlines retiring their Boeing 747 aircraft but these aircraft have found another use – cargo. In March 2020 281 Boeing 747 aircraft were recorded to be actively flying by December of last year that number has risen to more than 300! P7 Aviation wanted to bring this Boeing 747 pilot training infrastructure to the region to support operators with a location that is globally accessible.
This significant investment made by P7 Aviation is a further commitment to make the United Arab Emirates a global pilot training destination and we look forward to supporting operators from around the world.”
The Boeing 747 Full Flight Simulator will be ready for training in April 2021. The device will complement the existing simulator training infrastructure which includes an Airbus A320 Full Flight Simulator, Boeing 737 Classic Full Flight Simulator and Airbus A320 fixed-based Simulator. The devices are all EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) approved and used by a wide range of airlines, airline pilots and commercial pilot license holders.
