Rectrix Aviation Names New General Manager At KSRQ

Rectrix Aviation, a provider of premium jet charters, aircraft management, aircraft maintenance and fixed-based operations services, announced today that the company has named Chris Mundy the General Manager of their Aerodrome Center at Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (KSRQ).

As General Manager for Rectrix at KSRQ, Mundy will be responsible for overseeing all Rectrix Aerodrome Center day-to-day operations associated with serving commercial, corporate and private aviation customers. This includes line operations, aircraft fueling and fuel sales, aircraft storage (short and long term hangar leases) and management of the facility. Mundy will also be responsible for the hiring and training of all line service technicians and customer service representatives.

Mundy comes to the new role after having been a line service technician at Rectrix, where he was responsible for essential company processes including aircraft refueling, towing and parking. He also fulfilled special requests for staff and clients as an Airport Liaison. Prior to Rectrix, Mundy worked in numerous roles including maintenance and line service positions at Delta Air Lines and Mercury Air Center. He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and resides in the Bradenton, FL area.

“We are so pleased to have Chris take on the role of General Manager for Rectrix KSRQ,” said Rectrix CEO Richard Cawley. “We work very hard to offer a career path for all of our employees and we are thrilled to fill this position with an internal candidate. Chris will be a valuable asset as we continue to grow our company and operations.”

Rectrix opened its Sarasota facility in December 2008. The facility is situated on nearly 20 acres of airport property. It was developed to accommodate more than 180,000 square feet of aircraft hangars and passenger service facilities. In addition to the fixed base operation, Sarasota is home to the best in private Hangarminiums(TM). The Rectrix Hangarminiums(TM) offer aircraft operators all the benefits of hangar ownership without any of the hassles.
