Rectrix Aviation Unveils Aircraft Livery For HYA-ACK Service

Rectrix Aviation Inc. unveiled the livery for the company’s inaugural scheduled passenger air service between Hyannis (HYA) to Nantucket (ACK) planned for this summer. Rectrix will use a fleet of Beechcraft Super King Air 300 turboprops for the popular route. The company expects to receive FAA approval for the service in the next few weeks.

Rectrix currently operates a fleet of Bombardier Challenger and Learjet aircraft, and the HYA – ACK route is Rectrix’s entryway into the turbo-prop commuter market. Rectrix expects to operate more routes of scheduled passenger service in the future, including flights to the Mid-Atlantic and Florida.

The paint scheme will feature a white exterior and bold blue tail marked with a recognizable red ‘R’ for Rectrix Aviation. The luxurious passenger interiors will feature nine leather seats in an all first class single aisle cabin. The aircraft will also be equipped with Wi-Fi.

“The Super King Air is one of the most in-demand and requested turboprop aircraft and we are thrilled to announce we’ll be using this aircraft on our commuter flights,” said Rectrix Holding’s CEO Richard Cawley. “With spacious and comfortable passenger cabins, we feel this is the perfect aircraft for a short haul commuter service.”

Another distinctive feature of the short haul service will be the use of two pilots for every flight, making safety the number one priority. Rectrix’s Super King Air cockpits will contain state of the art avionics and be powered by two Pratt and Whitney PT6A-41 turboprop engines.

Rectrix Aviation is a division of its parent company, Rectrix Commercial Aviation Services, Inc. The company offers premium private jet charter on their own fleet of jets and is the largest private jet operator in Massachusetts. In 2009 Rectrix acquired global jet charter operating authority for 10 or more passenger seats with the purchase of New World Jet Corporation (Air Carrier Certificate #6RXA771M). This charter operation, rebranded as Rectrix Aviation, Inc., enabled the company to offer private jet charter travel in a cost-effective manner by utilizing their own fleet of Lear 45 and Challenger 300 aircraft at their state-of-the-art Rectrix Aerodrome Center private terminals. Exceptional service is the core principle of how Rectrix operates, and the company is committed to growing the aviation industry in Massachusetts and throughout the nation. Rectrix Aviation has an ARG/US Platinum Rating, which is awarded to air charter operators who have integrated the highest level of safety and follow the industry’s best safety practices in their flight operations, aircraft maintenance, training and oversight.
