(SEBASTIAN, FL) WHELEN AEROSPACE TECHNOLOGIES (WAT) is pleased to announce the certification of our BoomBeam High Intensity Discharge (HID) landing light system for the Boeing 737 and associated Boeing Business Jet Variants. The patented design increases the light output and enhances the reliability of the critical landing light system. The BoomBeam HID landing light system has received FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval for the Boeing models 737-600, 737-700, 737-800, and 737-900 series of aircraft.
The BoomBeam HID lighting system will bring Boeing 737 and BBJ operators the patented multi-light array, which provides 5 times more light output than the stock incandescent PAR 64 lamp. With over 1.5M Candela in output, this landing light system dramatically improves visibility 737 flight crews, ensuring that they can see and avoid hazards during taxi and landing/take off operations. The multi-light array also provides triple redundancy in each landing light location, ensuring that every flight can count on high quality lighting. The BoomBeam HID lights are a perfect safety enhancement to the Boeing’s existing and rich safety features.

The Boeing BoomBeam HID Lighting package includes a MIL SPEC CNC machined housing that replaces the PAR 64 OEM light housing. All necessary components for installation and STC (ST02893AT) Paperwork are included.
