Whirly-Girls Hosts Casino Night - All Proceeds Support the Whirly-Girls Scholarship Fund

Whirly-Girls International, a non-profit, educational, and charitable organization dedicated to advancing women in the helicopter aviation industry, is proud to announce that it will be hosting its first ever Casino Night this year at HAI's HELI-EXPO in Dallas, Texas. All proceeds will go towards the Whirly-Girls Scholarship Fund.

Whirly-Girls is an organization of over 1900 female helicopter pilots in 45 countries and continues to grow as women are becoming increasingly active in helicopter aviation. The Whirly-Girls Scholarship Fund, Inc. ("WGSF") was incorporated in 1974 to oversee and administer the scholarship funds raised by the Whirly-Girls and their auxiliaries, and is a federally tax exempt 501(c)(3) public charity. Initiated in 1968, the scholarship program has grown from a single $500 scholarship to a wide range of training and development scholarships.

To continue in the spirit of supporting Whirly-Girls and its mission, Eastern Region Helicopter Council (ERHC) has agreed to sponsor the Whirly-Girls Casino Night. The party will immediately follow the Whirly-Girls Annual Awards Banquet at the Magnolia Hotel's Pegasus Ballroom in Dallas, Texas on March 5 at 8 pm and all are invited to attend. All proceeds raised will go towards funding the Whirly-Girls Scholarship Fund, thereby further promoting women in the helicopter industry. ERHC was started in 1977 and incorporated in 1979 by local helicopter pilots with an interest in IFR flight for rotorcraft. With an active community outreach program to address concerns of helicopter issues, it continues to dedicate its efforts to establish IFR helicopter routes and approaches. ERHC is an affiliate member of Helicopter Association International (HAI).
