Robotic Skies has completed the first field installation of a Garmin GDL84 Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) datalink solution into an unmanned platform. Garmin dealer Kings Avionics Inc., of Henderson, Nevada, a full-service Part 145 repair facility and Robotic Skies' founding partner, performed the installation. The latest release of the FltPlan Go iPad, iPhone, and Android app features auto syncing of NavLogs, Routes, Weather, Weight & Balance Profiles and Checklists from the FltPlan website. This new feature allows users to move seamlessly from web to app by eliminating the download process.

The National Aviation Hall of Fame announced the founding of the Neil Armstrong Outstanding Achievement Award, named after the first man to walk on the lunar surface and a 1979 Enshrinee of the Hall of Fame. Former NASA astronaut Captain James A. Lovell, USN (Ret), will be the recipient of the inaugural Armstrong Award, which he will personally accept during the NAHF 53rd Annual Enshrinement Dinner & Ceremony on Friday, October 2, 2015.Ken Griffey Jr., the 13-time Major League Baseball All-Star and accomplished private pilot, has been named an honorary co-chair of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association Foundation's Hat in the Ring Society. Griffey, the son of longtime Cincinnati Red standout Ken Griffey, took his first airplane ride at 14 with his dadand was hooked. He earned his private pilot certificate at 36 and today flies a Cirrus SR22T.
