AVweb's search of aviation news worldwide found new loan options for AOPA members in Alaska and Hawaii, Textron's new service center in France, JETTECH's upgraded avionics STC for Citations, and a call for entries from the National Aviation Hall of Fame.AOPA now offers members in Alaska and Hawaii competitive aircraft loans that were previously difficult to acquire.While most aircraft lenders are unable to offer financing outside of the continental United States, AOPA Aviation Finance Co. is working with a lender that has agreed to fill personal-use aircraft financing needs for AOPA members in Alaska and Hawaii.Textron Aviation Inc.celebrated the opening of its larger, state-of-the-art Paris Service Center at Paris-Le Bourget Airport, boasting complete maintenance and repair capability for Citation business jets and Beechcraft King Air turboprops.More than 200 customers and guests attended the grand opening event and toured the new 156,000-square-foot facility, including the 42,000-square-foot service bay, double the size of the service bay in the former Paris service center.

JETTECH, a leader in developing affordable aftermarket aircraft solutions, is adding the recently released Garmin GTX 3000ES ADS-B capable transponder to its existing STC covering Garmin GTN install on Citation and Citation Jet (CJ) aircraft equipped with TCAS II. The JETTECH Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) amendment affects both the FAA and EASA authorizations and will ensure that Citation TCAS II equipped aircraft will have the means to comply with the ADS-B mandate of January 1, 2020.The National Aviation Hall of Fame has officially announced its nationwide "call for entries" for the 13th Annual Combs Gates Award. The prestigious $20,000 cash award is presented each year to an individual or group for a submitted project judged to be exemplary in the promotion and preservation of America's air and space heritage.The 2015 award ceremony will take place during a special session of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) annual meeting and convention.
