Hartzell received a Supplemental Type Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration for the company's new state-of-the-art lightweight Scimitar prop for all Cessna 172RG Cutlass aircraft.The newly designed and aggressively shaped Scimitar swept-tip aluminum compact blended airfoil two-blade propeller and light-weight carbon fiber, all composite spinner assembly enhance standard-equipped propeller performance. Bearhawk Aircraft announced two firsts for its Bearhawk Patrol aircraft kits: 1) the first flight of a completed Bearhawk Patrol in South Africa, and 2) the first shipment of a Bearhawk Patrol kit to Brazil. The Bearhawk Patrol, available as a Quick-Build kit, is a two-place tandem seated aircraft resembling the Piper Super Cub.

Monarch Sky, a Nevada-based flight school & flying club that offers flight training and aircraft rental to their members, announced that payments for flying club membership, flight training, aircraft rental and ground school can be done with Bitcoin to facilitate the Bitcoin users. Monarch Sky in collaboration with Bitcoins In Vegas will be hosting an Open House on Feb 21, 2015, that runs from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Air+Space Academy, America's leading provider of aerospace educational programs for students in grades 9-12, is establishing the national headquarters for the program in the Hangar 7 complex at historic Bowman Field. Hangar 7 will serve students, teachers, administrators and instructors from the program on a local, regional and national level.
