The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) has announced that the AirVenture Oshkosh Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) for the organizations annual fly-in convention taking place July 22-28 at Wittman Regional Airport (KOSH) in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, is now available.

Documentary: The Early Days Of Air Combat

In spite of its relative youth, aviation history is full of stories worth remembering; stories that brought us to where we are today and continue to provide valuable lessons, insight and inspiration for current and future aviators. One of the organizations working to preserve these stories is the Humanus Documentary Films Foundation, which recently premiered the museum cut of their World War I aviation film, The Millionaires Unit, at the New-York Historical Society in New York City.

Collings F6F Hellcat To Appear At Oshkosh

Newly restored to its original condition, the Collings Foundations Grumman F6F will make an appearance at AirVenture this year, EAA has announced. Previously shown at the National Museum of the Marine Corps and then the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum, the Grumman has been the subject of a three-year restoration on behalf of Collings at American Aero Services in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

EAA B-25 Flies Again After Two Decades

EAAs historic World War II-era North American B-25H Mitchell bomber, Berlin Express, made its first flight in approximately twenty years last Saturday after a restoration that took thousands of man-hours and nearly four and a half years. The project began with the goal of making primarily cosmetic improvements to the aircraft and evolved into a mission to restore the B-25 to fully airworthy condition.

AOPA Offering New Fly-In Workshops

AOPA will be celebrating its 80th anniversary at its upcoming Frederick, Maryland, fly-in with a fly-over by the D-Day Squadron, a drone show and some new educational offerings for attendees. The fly-in, which will take place on May 10-11 at Frederick Municipal Airport (KFDK), will kick off a series of paid ground school workshops that will be appearing at all of AOPAs fly-ins this year.

Aero Has Record Attendance

Following the trend at other aviation trade shows, attendance at last weeks Aero exhibition was up slightly over the previous year, according to show organizers. And a record 757 exhibitors showed their wares at Friedrichshafen, up 7% over 2018.
