Ironic. I was in a major chain auto store today looking for some LED fog lamps for a car. I noticed oodles of lights that had a 9v battery inside the box with a "test me" button on the front. I'd never seen such a marketing ploy. Even on partial power, the LED's were very bright. So that shows how little they draw AND how bright they can be. Several of 'em practically blinded me. Too bad that the cost of aviation products has to be SO much more ...

My LED L-lite claims a lifespan of 50K hours; any clue how they base such a claim?
