NexAir Avionics Launches New Web Site

NexAir Avionics today launched its new website designed around the avionics and technology education needs of today’s general aviation pilot.

Mansfield, MA - NexAir Avionics today launched its new website designed around the avionics and technology education needs of today's general aviation pilot. "We developed our new site to give GA pilots an independent source of information that explains the hot topics of ADS-B, GPS, Synthetic Vision, Traffic, and Weather in terms that they can easily understand," explains David Fetherston, NexAir's Founder and General Manager. The site at www.NexAirAvionics.com uses new Web technologies to adapt to the display requirements of the pilot's choice of viewing device, so the site is touchscreen iPad(R) and iPhone(R) friendly, but also looks great on 60" HDTVs. The Website combines current avionics product information with NexAir's skill, expertise and real-world experience to provide insights for owners and pilots alike. Additional Hot Topics will be added on an as needed basis.

"The information bandwidth needed for an average pilot to keep up with today's changing avionics landscape is overwhelming," said David Fetherston. "It's advancing every day, in absolutely every area imaginable, from fuel level senders, to touchscreen upgrades, to the constant flow of newly STC'd ADS-B equipment." NexAir recognizes that general aviation pilots need a tool to help them comfortably understand their options for new cockpit technologies, and just as importantly to understand the practical implications of those technologies in their role as pilot in command. "Being a source of trusted, neutral information for our customers is always our first goal," said David Fetherston. "We're not here to sell; we're here to educate first."

"Our intent with the new NexAir Website is to start a conversation with pilots who are interested in taking advantage of today's new technologies in their cockpits," said David Fetherston. "The site will allow general aviation pilots and owners to be informed, without being intimidated or overwhelmed. They'll be better pilots and make better decisions about technology utilization once they understand the role, capabilities and limitations of ADS-B, GPS, Synthetic Vision, Traffic, and Weather technologies within their cockpit. The Hot Topics on the NexAir Website will be very helpful to them no matter what avionics shop they use, whether they're big Garmin pilots, or Avidyne R9 pilots, or just using steam gauges with an iPad on their yoke."
