Sunset Over the San Juan Islands as Seen from the Rear Window of a 172
Several years ago, I sent in a photo of a Stearman parked at a grass strip in Ohio that I took when my Dad and I were flying across the country and that was selected as "POTW." My Dad has since passed away but I continue to fly and think of him often. Sunset was his favorite time of day to fly, and I couldn't help but feel something magical in the air as my wife and I flew back from Orcas Island a few weeks ago with the sun sinking into the sound behind us. It was simply beautiful. I hope you enjoy.
