Production of the two-seat Chinese airplane is expected to start this summer. The eGenius is a project of the University of Stuttgart, in Germany. The highly aerodynamic glider design enables the aircraft to support flights of more than two hours duration. This small engine will be attached beneath the wing, creating a hybrid power system and extending the aircraft's range to more than 600 miles, while using fewer batteries. Song, a single-seat ultralight built in Czechoslavakia, can be built with either a gas or electric powerplant.
