Picture of the Week
We say it every time we get a batch of photos of airplanes sitting on the ground: airplanes were meant to fly. Having said that, there are some nice ramp pix here but even though it's low resolution (we like 1-3 meg files) the Stearman and smoke was the best of the batch this week. Rod Hoctor contributed the winner.
History in the Mist
After my son (PIC) and I landed the Piper Super Cub around sunset, silently slicing through the rising ground mist, we parked the aircraft and watched the mist gradually taking over the airfield. I shot the picture with my Huawei P10 cellphone at Brasschaat Airfield (EBBT) a former Belgian Army Airfield - the oldest Belgian airfield that has been operational since 1910. This photo was not altered in any way.
