This week we would like to know about your flying currency. For AVweb’s Question of the Week, click here.Previous ResultsWe received over 500 responses to our question last week on Performance Data. Over half (55 percent) of our respondents felt that the information provided in GA aircraft Pilot Operating Handbooks is adequate to safely fly the under all conditions. Information on aircraft performance at a broader range of gross weights was a subject that should be included in POHs, said 19 percent of our readers. Thirty-seven percent would like to see information on how V-speeds change with weight, altitude and temperature. Though 55 percent feel POH information is good, most of the *comments* we received claim that performance figures in the manuals are not realistic. One reader wrote, “The data is just way too optimistic: It’s test pilots under perfect conditions getting max performance numbers that we won’t get.”
