F-16 Night Sortie
Three F-16s depart Des Moines International Airport. The third aircraft held it on the deck 'til the end, where he yanked back on the stick and launched into space!

Heaven? No, Lake Winnebago
The EAA Seaplane Base on Lake Winnebago, just before sunrise during AirVenture 2010. This image reminds me of a 17th century Dutch landscape painting.

The Return of a Ghost
DC-3 used in the '50s by the late Swissair company (now simply "Swiss"). Grounded some years ago, [it's now] seen over the Grenchen airport near Bern, Switzerland. Photo taken with a Pentax Optio P80 camera at 1/650 sec. F 5.6, focal length 29 mm. No other modifications than re-centering and reduction of the original file under 1 MB.

Rivers of My Mind
Caught the moment over Delaware Bay with Cannon PowerShot. I have a very hazy memory of this one. Virgin shot.

First B747 to Wear the New United/Continental Colors
Taken from the tower at Amarillo International Airport. Canon T2i, using Canon software to sharpen and crop the photo.

"Blue 7 - Catch Up to Us!"
At the KNKX 2010 Air Show (MCAS Miramar, San Diego, CA). Great clouds - great background! Canon Rebel T1i: 1/1250, f5.6, ISO 100. No changes whatsoever to the photo.

Proud Grandpa and the Newest Pilot
This photo was taken in September 2010 at Oshkosh just before my three-year-old grandson's first flight - which he loved!!

Que Sera Sera
Photo taken in the new Hangar Bay One at the U.S. Naval Air Museum in Pensacola, Florida.

Spring Break PCB
The view while doing touch-'n'-gos at KECP (Panama City, Florida).

Sea Fury at the Avalon Air Show, Australia (5th March 2011)
Unmanipulated image of a Hawker Sea Fury taken at the Avalon Air Show (near Melbourne, Australia) with a 70-300mm zoom lens on a Pentax K100D DSLR.

N2S-4 Pensacola Beach
1943 Stearman N2S-4 over Ft. Pickens on Pensacola Beach, Florida. Photo was taken by Sheldon Heatherington while I [Roy] was giving a flight to a Navy World War II veteran.

F-86 Sabre (Courtesy of Warbird Heritage Foundation)
Shot in the hangar with my Canon S1IS camera.

Kolb M3X Take-Off
Ski-flying off Houghton Lake, Michigan. Taken right after take-off.

Cousins in the Cockpit
My grandchildren, Lucas and Maddy, on the flight deck of the KC-97 located at the Carolinas Aviation Museum in Charlotte, North Carolina. All the levers, buttons, and dials any young pilot would ever want! A great museum with plenty of hands-on stuff for our future aviators. Taken with Nikon D90, 18-200 VR at 18mm.

IAD Sunset
Unedited shot from my MyTouch 4G phone while en route to Washington Dulles.
