Awesome P-51, and photo!
Thank-you, 1944pilot!
I consider myself one of the lucky few. I lived in Reno, NV, 30 years ago and worked for a mechanical contractor who owned two P-51s. I received a ride twice to potential job sites to check out new jobs. An aircraft at 40% power that cruises around 220 knots. Add power, and over 300 knots is doable; just breath taking. So if you can find someone to pay for a ride, I urge you to go for it. A jump seat behind the pilot seat is small, but is OK for kids and small adults.
