Ballad of the Bavarian Banner
In many countries in Europe, it became popular to tow banners commercially using Microlights. The twist is that one can taxi and take off with the banner already attached to the airplane. There is even a patent for it and a cachet. And it is 100% legal! The picture depicts a Flight Design CT towing an EAA banner over the airfield of Jesenwang (EDMJ), west of Munich, Bavaria, Germany. I persuaded the company I'm working with to donate this banner to EAA, together with the towing equipment. Unfortunately, EAA never flew it, and now it is all back in Germany.
Picture was taken with a little Canon Ixus 9515. I only touched it up a little in Photoshop to fix the in-motion unsharpness.

Air-to-air shot of the Farmers Zeppelin and a C-150 flown by Butch Bejna. This odd formation flight was briefed by all three pilots and accomplished with wide safety margins. Can you fly at 40 knots?

Lake Squared
Beautiful evening on Lake Ada in Northern Minnesota. Jumped in the Lake, flew to the lake, landed the Lake on the lake, then climbed out of the Lake and into the lake. Priceless.

This is simply the nose of a Vintage Wings' Hawker Hurricane with reproduction prop sticker. It was shot in Hamilton, Ontario. Kodak M753. There have been no manipulations to this photo.

The Glory View of Flying
Rainbows can also be circles when seen from the air. If you're lucky, you can see a double (or even triple). What makes this type of rainbow special is that it can only be seen from the aircraft and is also known as a "glory." Photo is completely unedited, shot from my Cessna 310 close to Fairbanks with a Canon Powershot 710.
Baron and Balloon
