There are plenty of aging legacy jets with maintenance-intensive avionics nearly ready for fresh avionics, and Garmin is on it. Two-plus years in the making, it recently completed the expensive STC for the G5000 integrated avionics and autopilot for Cessna Citation Excel/XLS business jets—a favorite among a wide variety of operators.
