Picture of the Week, April 30, 2020

Unknown on camera, a bystander snapped it. I was doing a “salute” to a WWII pilot as the family had just scattered his ashes in the North Umpqua River. They had requested a “fly-by,” which was impossible due to bridges and power lines from a nearby hydroelectric plant. Hence, I landed and did a “taxi-by.” Submitted by John Proctor.

A quick note for submitters: If you've got several photos that you feel are "POTW" material, your best bet is to submit them one-a-week! That gives your photos a greater chance of seeing print on AVweb, and it makes the selection process a little easier on us, too. ;)
