If anyone wants to get some additional info on air tanker 97, you can search for it on Google, using its civil registration: N3509G or its (current) nickname: “Miss Angela”. It is a Lockheed Vega-build (Boeing) B-17G-105-VE, USAAF Serial: 44-85778, construction or manufacturer’s serial number: 8687, currently owned by Pond Warbirds, LLC in Reno, Nevada. It was first converted to a TB-17G and then a VB-17G, and later also operated with air tanker numbers E16, 16, F42, 42, and 102.
