PICTURE OF THE WEEK: Homeward Bound Over Southern Manitoba
Taken with an iPhone after a group of friends had spent a day shooting touch and goes on a ski-equipped Piper J-3 and Super Cub on Lake Mitchell, MI. Wind was light, so the propwash of the "go" kicked up the top layer of snow on the ice, which then reflected in the sun. More skiplane and propwash tracks can be seen near the top of the picture. Copyrighted photo by Rick Durden.
Skiplane Propwash
While attending the Melborne Airshow in FLA, Kent's usual "Runway" broke down and his team rented the U-Haul. The story goes that he didn't tell them what he was going to do with it! Taken with a Canon Sx740. Copyrighted photo by Tom Ciura.
Very Short Final to VERY Short Runway!
