Poll: Do You Think Recent Close Calls Indicate Widespread Problems In Aviation Safety?

These so called close calls are a mixture of many issues and events happening all at the same time. Lower staffing levels, distractions, work load, communication, etc. I myself was involved with one years ago. A combination of items almost ended up in disaster. A missed call sign, the tower controller operating different frequencies, and coyotes on the runways. The attention levels of all of us HAS to be maintained. Luckily nothing bad happened and the issue was resolved. Recommendations and observations were put on the table, and have since been resolved. Nothing like a board of inquiry to make ones day….
