Taken from the family's Piper Cub near SZP with an iPhone 4. Unedited!

Santa's Runway Is Open
"Sleighs can park in transient parking at the base of the tower, reindeer are not allowed to graze along taxiways, noise abatement on take-off is in effect until kids awake at 6am sharp - you have information, Xmas."
Ed. Note: While we may be putting some distance between the present and the holiday season, this pic from a few weeks back was too much fun to skip over!

ME-262, the First German Jet
Photo taken at Naval Aviation Museum NAS, Pensacola, Florida.
Nikon S8000 with flash. Resized only.

FISK VFR Arrival to OSH During AirVenture
Fisk is the VFR arrival point for GA aircraft landing at OSH during AirVenture. Temporary FAA air traffic controllers at Fisk will tell pilots arriving from Ripon which transition to fly towards OSH. Controller instructions will be, say, "Follow the railroad tracks northeast" or, "Reaching Fisk, turn right and follow Fisk Avenue."

"Objects Are Closer than They Appear"?!
I hope those mountains are farther away than they appear.
Even though this photo was taken while landing at Boulder City, Nevada (KBVU), they're pretty intimidating during take-off. In reality, they're quite a distance away and a beautiful site to behold.
Photo taken with a Panasonic DMC-FZ8 and cropped. No other editing.

Avenger at Rest
Photo taken at Sun 'n Fun with Pentax Optio 33L. No digital manipulation.

Flagship Detroit
DC-3 Flagship Detroit on a stop-over at RMMA in Broomfield, Colorado.
