  1. Not for a number of reasons:
    . Too slow
    . Limited weather, wind, and ice capability
    . Requires special handling and procedures
    . Requires special buildings to house them, which would have to be built all over the route system.
    . Not enough crews.
    . No provision for diversion–if you DID divert due to weather, mechanical, or other issues–there is no provision for docking, securing, or maintaining the craft.

    • All your bullet points are probably true but, to take a week long Airship cruise would be worth 8 to 10 thousand bucks to me. Just like a Cruise ship they only need to travel about 200 to 400 miles a day. I wouldn’t even mind the stay in a nice hotel each night.
