Poll: Do You Think Commercial Airships Have Market Legs?

Not for a number of reasons: . Too slow . Limited weather, wind, and ice capability . Requires special handling and procedures . Requires special buildings to house them, which would have to be built all over the route system. . Not enough crews. . No provision for diversion–if you DID divert due to weather, mechanical, or other issues–there is no provision for docking, securing, or maintaining the craft.
All your bullet points are probably true but, to take a week long Airship cruise would be worth 8 to 10 thousand bucks to me. Just like a Cruise ship they only need to travel about 200 to 400 miles a day. I wouldn’t even mind the stay in a nice hotel each night.
